Ian Watkins, the previous Lostprophets singer, has died after being attacked in jail, British police have confirmed.

Watkins, 48, who was serving a 29-year sentence for child sex offences, was assaulted and killed at West Yorkshire jail HMP Wakefield on Saturday morning (UK time).
Two males, aged 25 and 43, have been arrested on suspicion of homicide, West Yorkshire Police mentioned.

Watkins was ambushed, and his throat was lower when prisoners had been launched from their cells, in accordance with The Solar newspaper.
A supply instructed the paper: “Watkins has been killed in probably the most brutal method attainable – and the assault was surprising, even by jail requirements.”
They added: “Guards had been close by and raced to the scene fairly shortly – however there was nothing they might do, and so they couldn’t save him. It was a horrific scene, with blood all over the place and alarms and sirens going off.”
The jail, often called “monster mansion” due to the harmful offenders it homes, went into lockdown instantly after the incident.
